Busy week for Police
Thepolice were called to Stanstead early yesterday morning when someone driving by the convenience store on Dufferin Street, just a few doors down from the Stanstead Journal office, noticed that the front door had been smashed. “The officers got a call around 5:30 in the morning. When they arrived on the scene they could see that someone had broken into the establishment,” commented Sureté du Quebec spokesperson, Aurelie Guindon. After the police looked at the video on the store’s camera, the suspects, who were known to police, were recognized.
