Stanstead taxes level and way up

Stanstead Journal - - NEWS - Staff, Stanstead

Some Stanstead residents will be faced with huge tax increases, next year, as the town’s evaluation roll, replacing a six year old one, is now in force. As was the case elsewhere with this practise that should be outlawed, huge jumps in valuation will meet some property owners. While Mayor Phillipe Dutil said that the mil rate for Stanstead will be adjusted to minimize the take from the town, it will not be the same for the SQ contribution and school board taxes.

Pleasetake note that Stanstead and its region will be featured in the televised show “Ma Caravane au Québec” on TV5 .

The show will be broadcasted on the following dates: Wednesday, November 7th 2012 | 5:30 AM Saturday, November 10th 2012 | 10:00 AM Sunday, November 11th 2012 | 6:00 AM Sunday, November 11th 2012 | 10:00 PM Monday, November 12th 2012 | 8h30 AM
