Bobby McFer­rin, whose dis­play of vo­cal dex­ter­ity we dis­cov­ered with His skil­ful use of the body as a per­cus­sion in­stru­ment to per­form the mu­sic of Bach or Miles Davis re­mains a tal­ent that is be­yond words. You will be sur­prised to learn that Switzer­land’s Martin O out­shines him in this very art form. This artist who “dances through his voice” trans­ports us to a place of sounds and har­monies that awaken and stim­u­late our lis­ten­ing ca­pac­ity. With an un­matched han­dle of a sam­pler, Martin O un­rav­els an ar­ray of sounds that trans­form into areal loops, yodels, raps and a col­lec­tion of ono­mato-po­etic sound com­po­si­tions. This singing one-man band is a gem to dis­cover for all au­di­ences.

Martin O. is a mu­si­cian, com­poser and singer, in one word: a mu­si­cal artist who per­forms his pro­grams since 2007. He cap­ti­vates his au­di­ence with sto­ries made of mu­sic which he cre­ates live on stage. He sings, nar­rates and im­i­tates throughout all gen­res and lan­guages. Martin O. grew up in a mu­si­cal fam­ily. At the age of four he started to play the vi­o­lin and pi­ano. At the Teach­ers Univer­sity in Rorschach, his artis­tic streak re­ceived fur­ther nur­tur­ing. Af­ter teach­ing for just one day, he found his call­ing was the mu­sic and the stage. A fas­ci­nat­ing ca­reer started, al­low­ing him to cre­ate some­thing new, to im­ple­ment mu­sic in ever chang­ing ways and with it to in­spire peo­ple.
