An­other award for Mem­phrem­a­gog li­brary

The Mem­phrem­a­gog Li­brary re­ceived a fourth award, last Tues­day, dur­ing the Soiree de re­con­nais­sance des artistes et des tra­vailleurs cul­turels de l’Estrie held at the Granada The­atre in Sher­brooke. Ac­cord­ing to Karine Corbeil, the pres­i­dent of the As­so­ci­a­tion des bib­lio­the­ques

publiques de l’Estrie (ABIPE), the award was pre­sented to the li­brary for “the au­da­cious or­ga­ni­za­tion of the Mem­phrem­a­gog Li­brary and the im­pact it has had on the fre­quency and use of its ser­vices which is an in­spi­ra­tion for all the re­gion.”

Since its open­ing in Novem­ber of last year, vis­its to the li­brary have in­creased by 37%. The users of the li­brary are more nu­mer­ous and take ad­van­tage of all the ser­vices of­fered in the peace­ful en­vi­ron­ment that pro­motes read­ing and re­lax­ation.

Ma­gog mayor Vicki May Hamm spoke proudly of the Mem­phrem­a­gog Li­brary which won its fourth award in Sher­brooke last week.
