Polar Bears Drop Pair Of Games Over The Weekend

Stanstead Journal - - SPORTS - Sherbrooke, Lennoxville

TheBishop’s University women’s hockey team dropped a pair of exhibition contests over the weekend in Stanstead, Quebec. On Saturday they fell 2-0 to the Outaouais Express, and Sunday 4-0 to the Ottawa Roadrunners.

“Sunday’s 4-0 loss could have been a lot worse if it was not for Bianca (Letarte) in nets,” said head coach Maryse Richard. “We need to regroup over the holidays and find a way to score.”

The Polar Bears (1-8) have struggled to find the back of the net this year as they have mustered just one regulation goal in nine games this year. They will look to regroup as they finish their pre-Christmas schedule on Saturday, December 1st. They will take to the ice against Red Wine at W.B. Scott Arena starting at 7 p.m.
