PAIR contest ends
InOctober, the PAIR Memphremagog Committee launched a contest to try and double the number of people who use this free service. Each person who was presently using the service was asked to try and get another person to subscribe to the free, automated phone service.
With the contest, sixteen new people signed up to get automatic phonecalls daily and three people, the winners of the contest, received $50 gift certificates.
The PAIR program is an automatic service that checks in with its subscribers daily to make sure that everything is all right. This free service is aimed primarily at people 55 years or older who live alone or people with a medical condition that requires daily checking. If you are interested in learning more or subscribing to this program you can either contact your local volunteer centre (CAB RH Rediker, 819 876-7748; Mansonville CAB, 450 292-3114; or Magog Carrefour du Seen in the photo at the contest drawing were (l. to r.)
