Pres­ti­gious award for Re­nald De­mers

Stanstead’s Re­nald De­mers was hon­oured in Que­bec City last month, re­ceiv­ing the Hom­mage Ainés

2012 Award along with fif­teen other award win­ners, one from each re­gion in the province. The awards are given out each year to those es­pe­cially de­voted to causes that af­fect se­niors.

Mr. and Mrs. De­mers spent two days in the province’s Cap­i­tal, put up by the awards com­mit­tee in the pres­ti­gious Chateau Lau­rier which is right across the street from the Par­lia­ment Build­ing, where the awards were pre­sented. “I was pleased to re­ceive the award. I met Dr. He­bert and spoke just a lit­tle with him. He is very de­voted to the el­derly,” com­mented Mr. De­mers about the new Health Min­is­ter who pre­sented the awards to the re­cip­i­ents in the Sa­lon Rouge of the Na­tional As­sem­bly in front of an au­di­ence of about four hun­dred.

Mr. De­mers con­tin­ues as the pres­i­dent of the CAB RH Rediker, “as long as they’ll have me,”, and sits on var­i­ous lo­cal health com­mit­tees.
