Prestigious award for Renald Demers
Stanstead’s Renald Demers was honoured in Quebec City last month, receiving the Hommage Ainés
2012 Award along with fifteen other award winners, one from each region in the province. The awards are given out each year to those especially devoted to causes that affect seniors.
Mr. and Mrs. Demers spent two days in the province’s Capital, put up by the awards committee in the prestigious Chateau Laurier which is right across the street from the Parliament Building, where the awards were presented. “I was pleased to receive the award. I met Dr. Hebert and spoke just a little with him. He is very devoted to the elderly,” commented Mr. Demers about the new Health Minister who presented the awards to the recipients in the Salon Rouge of the National Assembly in front of an audience of about four hundred.
Mr. Demers continues as the president of the CAB RH Rediker, “as long as they’ll have me,”, and sits on various local health committees.
