Full church for pageant

Stanstead Journal - - FRONT PAGE - Victoria Vanier Stanstead

Last Saturday, every pew in Stanstead’s Sacre Coeur Church was full as residents came out in full force to take part in a local variety show that had performers as young as two years of age! Organized by Stanstead resident Christian Ruf, the show featured a children’s choir, an adult’s choir, skits, piano performances, and several violin performances including one by a two-year old. Local professional musician Michael Goudreau even played a few songs.

In a nice touch, a powerpoint presentation at the end, complete with photographs of the individuals, gave credit to all the performers as well as those who worked behind the scenes, such as Michel Vaillant, to put on the show.

The volunteer group who decorate the church for Christmas every year even ‘got in on the act’, decorating the church a week early with arches and giant snowflakes to add to the festive atmosphere of the event.
