Po­lice show spirit of giv­ing

OnMon­day, Po­lice Com­mu­nity Co­or­di­na­tor Sgt. Pa­trice Gre­goire, of the Mem­phrem­a­gog MRC’s trav­elled around the county like Santa Claus, de­liv­er­ing gi­ant che­ques of $175 each to four lo­cal com­mu­nity or­ga­ni­za­tions. The $700 came from the Policier(ere)s Que­bec’s hu­man­i­tar­ian fund. The SQ part­nered with four lo­cal gro­cery stores, two vol­un­teer cen­tres and one church par­ish to re­al­ize the project.

Sgt. Pa­trice Gre­goire and of­fi­cer Julie Martel, the god­mother of Stanstead, pre­sented the cheque to An­dré Roy, of IGA Stanstead, and CAB RH Rediker di­rec­tor,

Guy Pa­try (cen­tre), of Marché Pa­try et Fils in Ayer’s Cliff, was happy to ac­cept the cheque from Sgt. Pa­trice Gre­goire and Sgt. Karine Gil­bert, the god­mother of Ayer’s Cliff.
