A special award was bestowed to a member of the Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW) Sherbrooke & District. Dian Cohen received the Diamond Jubilee Medal presented by the Honourable Jean Rousseau, Member of Parliament for Compton-Stanstead. Her professions include syndicated economics, business and personal money management columnist, research economist and publications editor, university lecturer, and radio and television host. In addition, Dian has the position of Director in a number of corporations.

In 1993, she received the Order of Canada. Bishop’s University awarded an honourary degree of Doctor of Civil Law in June 2010. The Lieutenant-Governor of Quebec bestowed the Senior Silver Medal in 2011 for outstanding volunteer work beyond the age of 65.

Over the past ten years, Cohen has been instrumental in not only broadening the reach of the Eastern Townships-based Fondation Lampe Foundation but also overseeing its substantial growth. Dian has had an illustrious early career but more importantly, she continues with new passions and new projects.
