The School of Ed­u­ca­tion at Bishop’s Univer­sity in­vites you to a lec­ture on Wed­nes­day, Jan­uary 23rd, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at The Gait. Ad­mis­sion is free of charge. Hear Judy Re­bick, one of Canada’s best known fem­i­nists and po­lit­i­cal com­men­ta­tors, as she dis­cusses “Oc­cupy Ed­u­ca­tion: New ac­tivist cul­tures and so­cial change move­ments.” Re­bick is a prom­i­nent so­cial jus­tice ac­tivist, writer, ed­u­ca­tor and speaker who have worked as a jour­nal­ist over the last 20 years. Cur­rently on the Q me­dia panel on CBC ra­dio, she is the found­ing pub­lisher of Canada’s most pop­u­lar in­de­pen­dent news source and dis­cus­sion site, rab­ble.ca.
