An­cient crafts at Beaulne

The Beaulne Mu­seum of Coat­i­cook is pleased to present the ex­hi­bi­tion « Trades of the past. The Bolduc Col­lec­tion », from the 27 of Jan­uary to the 16 of June 2013. The pub­lic and the press are cor­dially in­vited.

The ex­hi­bi­tion is an over­view of an­cient crafts from the re­gion through naive sculp­tures clev­erly de­signed and car­ried out. Sev­eral topics are con­jured: trans­porta­tion (the trans­port of wood and cot­ton, rac­ing cars, ox plow, horse-drawn car­riages, hearse, etc., characters such as (the gla­di­a­tor, the cow­boy, the milk man, the ice ven­dor, the lum­ber­jack, etc.), har­vest­ing from farm prod­ucts as well as es­tab­lish­ments de­pict­ing (a bak­ery, a black­smith shop, etc.).)

In to­tal, ap­prox­i­mately forty sculp­tures of Lu­cien Bolduc’s im­pres­sive work are shown in this ex­hi­bi­tion.

Lu­cien Bolduc was born in 1916 in Lambton in the Province of Que­bec. He was the fourth child in a fam­ily
