Ancient crafts at Beaulne
The Beaulne Museum of Coaticook is pleased to present the exhibition « Trades of the past. The Bolduc Collection », from the 27 of January to the 16 of June 2013. The public and the press are cordially invited.
The exhibition is an overview of ancient crafts from the region through naive sculptures cleverly designed and carried out. Several topics are conjured: transportation (the transport of wood and cotton, racing cars, ox plow, horse-drawn carriages, hearse, etc., characters such as (the gladiator, the cowboy, the milk man, the ice vendor, the lumberjack, etc.), harvesting from farm products as well as establishments depicting (a bakery, a blacksmith shop, etc.).)
In total, approximately forty sculptures of Lucien Bolduc’s impressive work are shown in this exhibition.
Lucien Bolduc was born in 1916 in Lambton in the Province of Quebec. He was the fourth child in a family
