Collector’s Fair in Orleans
The Twelfth Annual Collectors Fair will be held at the Orleans Elementary School Gym on Sunday, February 17, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Old Stone House Museum organizes this yearly event, which gives people a chance to show off their collections of all sorts of things. There will be stamps and coins, old newspapers with headlines of historic events, sparkplugs and steam engines, old post cards, arrowheads, perfume bottles, iron toys, automobile memorabilia, plenty of antiques and a working train set. Those are just some of the collections that have been signed up so far. Anyone interested in exhibiting their collection of anything, except weapons, should call the Old Stone House Museum at (802)7542022 to reserve a table. There is no cost to exhibit, and no charge for admission to see the show.
Collectors will meet and mingle, swap and sell, as they share their hobbies with the community. Lunch will be available from the Brownington Ladies Aid, and there will be door prizes. Here’s a chance to get out on a winter Sunday and visit with some interesting folks and see some out of the ordinary things. From the Old Stone House Museum
