Flan­ders makes the cut!

Af­ter hav­ing to keep quiet about his fan­tas­tic news for al­most three months, now that the fourth episode of the new TVA show La Voix has aired, Dany Flan­ders can fi­nally share the good news with friends and fans that he did in­deed ‘make the cut’!

“We recorded that show at the be­gin­ning of Novem­ber so it has been very tough to keep quiet all this time,” com­mented Mr. Flan­ders in an in­ter­view with the Stanstead Jour­nal from his home in Florida. Orig­i­nally from Stanstead, Dany heard that a Que­bec ver­sion of the pop­u­lar Amer­i­can show The Voice would be hold­ing au­di­tions last fall from some of his fans who en­cour­aged him to au­di­tion. “It was very last minute so I was de­bat­ing whether or not to go and try out. It would be very ex­pen­sive but I thought, the heck with it, I should take a chance and go,” com­mented Dany.

From about five thou­sand croon­ers, 140 were cho­sen to sing on the show with the hope that one of the four coaches, Que­be­cois singers MarieMai, Marc Dupré, Jean- Pierre Fer­land and Ari­ane Mof­fatt, would choose them to be on their team of 14.
