Flanders makes the cut!
After having to keep quiet about his fantastic news for almost three months, now that the fourth episode of the new TVA show La Voix has aired, Dany Flanders can finally share the good news with friends and fans that he did indeed ‘make the cut’!
“We recorded that show at the beginning of November so it has been very tough to keep quiet all this time,” commented Mr. Flanders in an interview with the Stanstead Journal from his home in Florida. Originally from Stanstead, Dany heard that a Quebec version of the popular American show The Voice would be holding auditions last fall from some of his fans who encouraged him to audition. “It was very last minute so I was debating whether or not to go and try out. It would be very expensive but I thought, the heck with it, I should take a chance and go,” commented Dany.
From about five thousand crooners, 140 were chosen to sing on the show with the hope that one of the four coaches, Quebecois singers MarieMai, Marc Dupré, Jean- Pierre Ferland and Ariane Moffatt, would choose them to be on their team of 14.
