Perfect pancakes

Stanstead Journal - - NEWS -

This fire department has always been heavily involved in the community and that’s not likely to change under the new fire chief, an active community volunteer himself for several years. “The fire department helps out at BorderFest, with the annual blood drive, the toy drive and we used to help with the community Christmas Dinner. We’ll be sending our mascot, Sparky, to Stanstead’s Winter Fun Day and putting in a broomball team,” mentioned the fire chief.

“I’ve enjoyed my first month as the fire chief. There was a lot of work, a lot of paperwork to go through and lots of emails to answer, lots of planning. I’m really fortunate to have such a great team here in Stanstead. I wouldn’t have stepped up to do this job without this team; they really back you up,” he concluded.

Ross Coté was busy flipping pancakes at last night’s Shrove Tuesday supper at the Stanstead South United Church while Janet Dezan supervised. See article p. 16.
