Men play as Ladies

We­held an­other card party in the Le­gion Hall in Ayer’s Cliff on Fe­bru­ary 11th. Even though the weather was against us, we played 500 at 5 ta­bles. The hall was dec­o­rated with the Valen­tine›s theme. Our prizes were wrapped in pink and red. I saw some­thing to­day that I have never seen be­fore; I had to ask three men to play as ladies. I want to thank Royce Wal­lace, Bob Nish and Henry Du­quette who agreed to do so. Af­ter an af­ter­noon of fun and laugh­ter, scores were added up with Greta Nish (6080) claim­ing ladies high. Ladies 2nd went to Royce Wal­lace (5760). Gents high was won by De­nis Cor­riveau (6040). Gents 2nd went to Jack Kimp­ton (5760). Skunk prize went to Casey Vriensendorp. For hav­ing the most tricks with the 4 of hearts went to Jack Kimp­ton. Mar­ion Cox looked af­ter the tick­ets. Thanks Mar­ion. Door prizes were won by Alan Bul­lock, Bea Juby, Jim Meigs, Mac Juby, Les­lie Bliss, Jim Wharry, Mar­ion Cox, Jackie Gos­selin, Archie St.Onge, Casey Vriensendorp, Ernest Kirby, Henry Du­quette, Bob­bie Nish, Jean Martin, Marian St.Onge, Royce Wal­lace, Deb­bie Smith, De­nis Cor­riveau, Jack Kimp­ton,and Greta Nish. Spe­cial went to De­nis Cor­riveau, Alan Bul­lock, Les­lie Bliss, Henry Du­quette, Jean Martin, Greta Nish, Dyanne Saanum, Jackie Gos­selin, Casey Vriensendorp and Mar­ion Cox.
