Régie de Police Memphremagog targets errant ATV’s
Last week, Régie de Police Memphremagog patrollers with the traffic team carried out operations on iced-over waterways and trails. Three different operations resulted in the handing out of four fines: two for vehicles that weren’t registered and two for drivers who were without helmets. One of the all-terrain vehicles was towed away to be investigated. Furthermore, the patrollers stopped two drivers who were on private club trails without being members. They had to pay the membership fee (more than $400 each) on the spot to representatives of the private clubs who were accompanied by patrollers.
