CHUS launches internal campaign

Stanstead Journal - - NEWS -

Last Friday, the CHUS Foundation launched an internal financing campaign among its 6000 employees. Called “Pour nous, pour moi aussi!” the campaign’s main objective is to encourage all the CHUS personnel to donate and aims to raise one million dollars within five years.

Comedian Bernard Fortin, the honorary godfather of the Foundation, was at the launch and shared CHUS anecdotes with the personnel. His father was one of the establishment’s first doctors, in the late 1960’s, and it is at the CHUS where his close relatives receive health care.

The names of employee donors were put up on a wall in one of the hospital’s cafeterias and, each month, new donor names will be added.

During last week’s launch of an internal fundraiser at the CHUS were (l. to r.) Johanne Simard, employee representative; Me Dany Lachance, Foundation board president; honorary godfather, comedian Bernard Fortin; and CHUS director Patricia Gauthier.
