McKinven named as judge at World Dairy Expo
Localdairy farm operator and cattle breeder, Callum McKinven, of the farming enterprise Lookout Holsteins & Jerseys in Canton Hatley, has been announced as one of the sixteen official judges at the World Dairy Expo which is held annually each October, in Madison, Wisconsin. It will be his 9th time judging at the event. This exhibition and dairy cattle competition, which includes the showcasing of the most upto-date technology related to the dairy cattle industry, is the biggest dairy show in North America.
During the five-day event, breed Champions are chosen in each of the seven dairy cattle breeds: Ayrshire, Brown Swiss, Guernsey, Holstein, Jersey, Milking Shorthorn and Red and White. Those winners go on to compete for the title of Supreme Champion. Dairy producer Callum McKinven, of Canton Hatley, will be a judge at the annual World Dairy Expo held in Madison, Wisconsin. Mr. McKinven has judged cattle at many major exhibitions both nationally, such as at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, in Toronto, and internationally in over twenty-eight countries. At the World Dairy Expo, in Wisconsin, he will be the judge of the Jersey Show.
