Tourism prizes an­nounced

Thisyear’s re­cip­i­ents of the Grands Prix du Tourisme Des­jardins were an­nounced last week and the prizes awarded last Thurs­day evening at a gala held at Sher­brooke.

“Tourism per­son­al­ity of the Can­tons-de-l’Est” Craw­ford, the pres­i­dent of Do­maine Pin­na­cle, an ice cider and spe­cial­ized al­co­holic bev­er­age pro­ducer in Fre­lighs­burg. “The Town­ships are truly unique – it is a re­gion that can be ap­pre­ci­ated by all Que­be­cers and our vis­i­tors who come from ev­ery­where in the world.

Do­maine Pin­na­cle is proud to be part of a com­mu­nity of in­di­vid­u­als and or­ga­ni­za­tions who work hard to make the Town­ships one of the most es­teemed tour Amer­ica,” com­mented Mr. Craw­ford at the event.

Sev­eral other tourism op­er­a­tions re­ceived awards, some in our area. Camp

Val-Estrie, in Water­ville, re­ceived the grand prize

more. Cen­tre d’Equi­tation Jacques Ro­bidas, in Hat­ley Town­ship, re­ceived the grand prize for Eco­tourism and Ad­ven­ture Tourism. The Cin­quieme El­e­ment

Restau­rant, in Comp­ton, took the prize for Re­gional Ta­ble – Flavour Cre­ators.
