OLes Gestes - - composer Sean Ferguson take the dialogue between dance and music to new heights. The stage is inhabited by a unique string quartet, composed of two musicians and two dancers equipped with digital musical instruments molded to their bodies, propelling them into a sensory encounter between technology and tradition, a fusion of flesh and sound.

have interactions between dancers and musicians been as refined, visceral and magical. Expect an uncommon sensory experience that transcends borders to celebrate the combined powers of music and dance. Designed as extensions to the human body, these musical instruments react to changes in movement and to many other types of parameters: pressure, heat, speed and displacement, etc. In the context of Les gestes, they allow dancers and musicians to interact in real time with the musical score of the choreography. These cutting-edge instruments are the result of research carried out at CIRMMT by the choreographer, the composer and the doctoral researchers of the center. The project follows from a previous collaboration by the same team for the work Duo pour un violoncelle et un danseur
