“Prohibition” comes to Sutton
TheSureté du Québec has worked with the Musee des et d’histoire in the development and installation of a patrimonial exhibition called “Prohibition”. The exhibit aims to shed some light on several aspects of the years 1920 – 1930 in the BromeMissisquoi county and on the international border between Canada and the United States in the Eastern Townships. Personnel with the
provided photos and artifacts that bear witness to the history of the and its battle against criminality on the border, notably against contraband alcohol, which will be on display.
The official launch will be on Thursday, March 21st, at 5:00 pm, at the museum on Principale Street south, in Sutton. The museum’s regular hours are Saturday and Sunday, from noon to 4:00 pm.
