“Pro­hi­bi­tion” comes to Sut­ton

TheSureté du Québec has worked with the Musee des et d’his­toire in the devel­op­ment and in­stal­la­tion of a pat­ri­mo­nial ex­hi­bi­tion called “Pro­hi­bi­tion”. The ex­hibit aims to shed some light on sev­eral as­pects of the years 1920 – 1930 in the BromeMis­sisquoi county and on the in­ter­na­tional bor­der be­tween Canada and the United States in the East­ern Town­ships. Per­son­nel with the

pro­vided pho­tos and ar­ti­facts that bear wit­ness to the his­tory of the and its bat­tle against crim­i­nal­ity on the bor­der, notably against con­tra­band al­co­hol, which will be on dis­play.

The of­fi­cial launch will be on Thurs­day, March 21st, at 5:00 pm, at the mu­seum on Prin­ci­pale Street south, in Sut­ton. The mu­seum’s reg­u­lar hours are Satur­day and Sun­day, from noon to 4:00 pm.
