A29 year-old man lost control of his vehicle on Georgeville Road last Friday night, going off the road and rolling over a few times. Luckily the driver had only minor injuries. Also on Friday night, a fifteen year-old boy broke the window of a Magog garage to take all the keys of used vehicles for sale on the lot. He parked one car on another street and then left with a second car. He finished his joyride in a ditch in the Omerville sector at around 11:30 pm. Police called to the site were able to figure out where the car came from and went straight to that garage, only to find the culprit in the middle of taking a third vehicle. He was taken away and will appear in youth court.

The police would like help from the public to help solve two thefts of maple sap buckets in Ste-Catherine de Hatley. In total, more than 1500 buckets were stolen on March 14th and the 15th. The value of the buckets is estimated at $7000. Information can be given in a confidential manner by calling Echec au crime at 1-800-711-1800.

Last Sunday, around midnight, two young drivers were caught racing their vehicles on autoroute 10, in Sherbrooke. Police saw the cars racing from the 410 to km 137 of autoroute 10 where the police were ready to intercept them. The young drivers of 23 and 25 each received a fine of $1,264 and six inaptitude points. The licenses of the two drivers from Sherbrooke were also immediately taken away for seven days.
