Invitation to our fourth Interfaith Passover Seder and Easter Seder
The2013 Interfaith Seder to Free the Wounded Earth and Face the Pharaohs of Today will have a different connotation: “Occupy the dream’’.
In the United States, Jewish and Christian peace leaders will be joining together, preparing, from the words of Martin Luther King Jr., to «Occupy the Dream”, this Passover and Easter holiday.
“Occupy The Dream”: Join us in Sherbrooke for a Seder to promote MultiReligious Action during the week of Passover & Holy Week (March 24 to April 2), when we join our brothers and sisters in the US in “actions against the modern Pharaohs and their modern Climate Plagues, we will promote actions for ten Healings of the Earth.”
You are invited to join us here in Sherbrooke, to “Occupy the Dream” and as we support the “Idle No More” movement on Monday, March 25, 2013, at 6:30pm - at the Eastern Townships Passover Seder and Easter Seder for the 99%.
Join, Isaac Romano of the Jewish Community Centre of the Eastern Townships, the reverend Carole Martignacco of the Unitarian Universalist of the Eastern Townships (UU Estrie), the reverend Father Reegan Soosai (from India and a wonderful new Catholic priest in Sherbrooke), and the ‘’Communauté missionnaire des Clarétains’’, as we come together with our communities throughout the Eastern Townships this year, over our Passover and Easter holiday season... Our combined Seders will speak to our shared desire and our work for a world in which love, kindness, generosity, ethical and ecological sanity, awe and wonder at the grandeur of the universe, and commitment to a higher meaning for our lives are valued. We will share our Tikkun Olam (Hebrew word meaning “To repair the planet”) for the Healing, Repair, and Transformation of our World. We will do this together and we are inviting Christians, Jews, Muslims, Baha’is, Buddhists, Atheists, Agnostics and anyone else who has suffered from the oppression that “globalization of selfishness and materialism” is causing.
Our “2013 Interfaith Passover and Easter Seder to Free the Wounded Earth,” as in the past years, will be a Bilingual Interfaith event with our Seder facilitators composed of:
Isaac Romano, Director of the JCCET; Reverend Carole Martignacco of the UU Estrie; and Reverend Father Reegan Soosai, of the Communauté missionnaire des Clarétains.
We invite you to contact us and help in the planning and organization of this wonderful bilingual multi-faith event to be held on Monday, March 25th. 2013.
