Last Ben­e­fit Card party was “Green”

The­last card party ben­e­fit the Re­lay for Life (Moonlighters) was held in the Beebe Catholic Church on March 14. The hall was dec­o­rated all in green for St. Pa­trick›s Day. The prizes were even wrapped in green. Cards were played at 7 ta­bles. Af­ter lots of laughs, scores were tal­lied up with Wendy Kimp­ton, (5200) win­ning ladies high. Ladies 2nd went to Mar­ion Cox (4740). Gents high went to Royce Wal­lace (6620).Andy Davis (5580) took home gents 2nd. Skunks were out to­day and Bud Wing re­ceived the prize for most skunks, he had three. 9 no trump was claimed by Mar­ion Cox. For hav­ing taken the most tricks with the 4 of clubs went to Vicky White. Door prizes went to the fol­low­ing - Bar­bara Kerr, Daniel Be­langer, Vi­vian Warner, De­nis Cor­riveau, Jean Martin, Les­lie Bliss, Bar­bara Wing, Alan Bul­lock, Deb­bie Smith, Rus­sell Aldrich, Amanda Pha­neuf, and Bob Shel­don. Spe­cial prizes went to Alan Bul­lock, De­nis Cor­riveau, Ge­orge Peasley, Bar­bara Wing, Bud Wing and Jack Kimp­ton. A sec­ond set of spe­cial prizes were won by Gayle Gre­nier ( Cut­ting Board), Mar­ion Cox (Fa­jita spice rub set), A bot­tle of wine (Alan Bul­lock), Vicky White (Wood Holder). On be­half of the group we would like to thank James Bul­lock, Bob Shel­don, Judy White, and Les­lie Bliss who do­nated food or prizes for this card party. A big thank you to ev­ery­one who came out to sup­port us, with­out each and ev­ery one of you, we wouldn›t have been able to make th­ese a success. Also thanks to the Beebe Catholic Church for al­low­ing us to use the hall. We would also like to thank the Stanstead Jour­nal and the Sher­brooke Record for print­ing our write-ups. We will be hav­ing a Bingo on March 23 at 1:00 p.m. in the same hall. The door will open at 12:00 (noon). There will be a can­teen with lots of good­ies. Gift prizes and a cash jack­pot.
