Train­ing Cen­tre vis­its Stanstead

Rep­re­sen­ta­tives of the Len­noxville Vocational Train­ing Cen­tre spoke about their school to Stanstead high school stu­dents at the Phelps Helps home­work pro­gram on Mon­day night. The cen­tre’s Busi­ness Ser­vices man­ager, Fran­cois Houde, first spoke with the stu­dents, ask­ing them what they wanted to have a ca­reer in, ex­plain­ing the im­por­tance of get­ting a di­ploma whether it be from a trade school, col­lege or univer­sity. Teacher Chris McNab spoke about the Weld­ing and Fit­ting pro­gram and the Ma­chin­ing Tech­niques pro­gram while in­struc­tor De­bra Bell spoke with the teens about the Nurs­ing As­sis­tance, Home­care and As­sis­tance in Health Care Fa­cil­i­ties pro­grams.

Deb­bie Bishop spoke with the teens about the cen­tre’s Sales pro­grams and about the new 2-4-U pro­gram that al­lows stu­dents to earn their high school di­ploma while learn­ing a trade at the same time!
