Training Centre visits Stanstead
Representatives of the Lennoxville Vocational Training Centre spoke about their school to Stanstead high school students at the Phelps Helps homework program on Monday night. The centre’s Business Services manager, Francois Houde, first spoke with the students, asking them what they wanted to have a career in, explaining the importance of getting a diploma whether it be from a trade school, college or university. Teacher Chris McNab spoke about the Welding and Fitting program and the Machining Techniques program while instructor Debra Bell spoke with the teens about the Nursing Assistance, Homecare and Assistance in Health Care Facilities programs.
Debbie Bishop spoke with the teens about the centre’s Sales programs and about the new 2-4-U program that allows students to earn their high school diploma while learning a trade at the same time!
