Ayer's Cliff gets its Boardwalk
The Memphremagog MRC has announced the nine projects that will receive a total in funding of $390,596, and included in those projects is a grant of $100,000 for the municipality of Ayer’s Cliff to go towards the construction of a boardwalk and pavilion on the shores of Lake Massawippi.
Other organizations receiving funding are the municipality of Hatley which will receive $100,000 for the repair and conversion of St. James Hall into a community centre; Potton gets $3,696 to develop a leadership program; the CLD Memphremagog will get $10,000 to hire a development resource for Stanstead, Stanstead Township and Ogden; the Cooperative solidarite Austin gets $50,000 to study the development of a fiber optic network; the Cooperative de solidarite des Petits Ziboux gets $22,300 to develop a cooperative day care service; the Ile du Marais gets $30,000 to repair its trails at the marsh in Katevale; Ste Etienne de Bolton gets $15,000 to build a multi-functional platform in the park; and Ste. Catherine de Hatley gets $59,600 for a multi-functional platform in the park and sports equipment.
