TRCF Awards 24 Grants
Townshippers’Research and Cultural Foundation (TRCF) is pleased to announce that twenty-four projects and activities serving the English-speaking community of the historical Eastern Townships received grants at the annual luncheon on Tuesday, April 16, in Magog.
Since 1987, Townshippers’ Foundation has awarded thousands of grant dollars to local, grassroots organizations and projects in heritage, arts, health, social services, education, and research.
At the 2013 luncheon, close to $39,000 in grants were awarded to projects covering all points on the compass, from educational workshops to awareness events, festivals and research, youth activities to senior support, a focus on farming to preventing financial fraud and more.
“It has been our pleasure once again to help support these deserving projects which help fuse and strengthen our community through their activities,” stated Jane Loiselle, President, Townshippers’ Research and Cultural Foundation. «It is so gratifying to see that our donors continue to recognize how critical their support is to the Townships English-speaking community. Of course we can only give away what we receive, so we hope to continue to accept donations that will enable us to help others in our beautiful Eastern Townships.”
