Talk to your animals

Stanstead Journal - - CLASSIFIEDS - Derby Line, VT

JulieSoquet will be coming to the First Universalist Parish hall in Derby Line on Saturday, May 4, to lead a 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning workshop on how to communicate with animals. Julie Soquet, MA, MIM, has given wellliked workshops in Derby Line before, and this is an excellent opportunity to study with her at an unusually modest fee. She is a shamanic practitioner, life coach, and workshop facilitator, with a private shamanic healing practice, Windhorse Consulting, in Hinesburg, Vermont, where she works with both people and animals. She is a graduate of the Michael Harner three-year program in Shamanic Healing and Methodology, and has studied with Mayan and Malaysian healers in Belize and Borneo, and with Brazilian/Peruvian shamans. She is also a student and practitioner of the Tibetan tradition of Shambhala, the Sacred Path of the Warrior. As an animal communicator, Julie has worked and trained with Penelope Smith, who is probably the most widely known international interspecies consultant, lecturer, author, and workshop leader. Participants need to bring to the workshop photos of their living animal friends, and may, with permission, bring live animals to the afternoon session. No prior training is needed for this workshop – just a love of animals and a wish to be able to interact with them more fully. Please note that there is a very modest fee for this workshop and that pre-registration with full payment, which can include a vegetarian lunch, is required by April 20. This is a fund-raiser for First Universalist Parish and all the money received will go to the church. The workshop has been organized by Michael Gruteke, and further information may be obtained by e-mailing or by calling 873-3454.
