Bishop’s University to honour four highly-respected individuals and over 560 students at 184th Convocation
graduate, former executive director of the Eastern Townships Research Centre and avid promotor of regional cultural heritage; and entertainer Johnny Reid, Bishop’s graduate and winner of multiple CCMA and JUNO awards.
“Each of these four people embodies outstanding achievement and commitment to their com- munities,” said Bishop’s University Principal Michael Goldbloom, “We are proud to recognize their distinguished contributions.”
On Saturday, June 1, Me Brian M. Levitt will be installed as Chancellor of Bishop’s University. Brian M. Levitt is Co-Chair of Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP, working out of its Montreal office, and, since 2011, he has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of The TorontoDominion Bank.
An afternoon Convocation ceremony will take place at 4:00 pm on Friday, May 31 for graduates earning degrees and certificates in Business. On Saturday, June 1, Convocation ceremonies will be held at 10:30 am for graduates earning degrees in Humanities and Education. Graduates receiving degrees in the Natural or Social Sciences will participate in an afternoon ceremony at 3:00 p.m. on June 1.

This year’s valedictorian, Katelyn LeClair from South Mountain, ON, is a Business student with a double major in Human Resources and General Management and a minor in Psychology. Ms LeClair will proudly address the graduating class at all three ceremonies.
Professor Michael Teed of the Williams School of Business will receive the William and Nancy Turner Teaching Award for his excellence in teaching and unwavering dedication to student success. This annual award was founded by Chancellor Emeritus William M. Turner.
