The 1st in a se­ries of three card par­ties was held in the din­ing hall of the Ayer’s Cliff Fair Grounds, on May 11th. Th­ese are ben­e­fit the St. James’ Ceme­tery - Hat­ley. Cards were played at 7 ta­bles. Scores were added up with Bar­bara Gos­selin (5020) win­ning ladies high. Ladies 2nd went to Meryl Nut­brown (4840). Gents high went to Ge­orge Peasley (6420) and Archie St-Onge (5900) claim­ing the gents 2nd. Skunk prize went to Marsha Wal­lis. The 9 of clubs bid went to Bob Nish. Door prizes went the fol­low­ing: Jaen Martin, Elvera Pat­ter­son, Bev Hae­feli, Greta Nish, Deb­bie Smith, Royce Wal­lace, Jack Kimp­ton, Denis Cor­riveau, Marsha Wal­lis, Jack Hae­feli, Mead Bald­win, Alan Bul­lock, Bob Nish, He­lena McComb Har­ris Ols­son, Louise Peasley, and Marion Cox. Spe­cial prizes went to Archie St-Onge, Elvera Pat­ter­son, Deb­bie Smith, Denis Cor­riveau, Marion Cox, Bar­bara Wing, Jean Martin, Joanne Bowen, Alan Bul­lock, Bud Wing, Mar­ian St.Onge, and Mead Bald­win. On be­half of the Ceme­tery group, we would like to thank ev­ery­one for com­ing. Thanks to all who do­nated food or prizes - Mer­rill Gre­nier, Marion Cox, Jean Martin, Alan Bul­lock, and Meryl Nut­brown, Also thanks to Jackie Gos­selin Who made the tal­lies for this card party.
