Fo­cus­ing on the artis­tic prac­tice of a col­lec­tive of cur­rent fac­ulty mem­bers from the depart­ment of Fine Arts, Up­lands Cul­tural and Her­itage Cen­ter is proud to present the Bishop’s Univer­sity

Fine Arts Col­lec­tive from June 2 to Septem­ber 1, 2013. This ex­hi­bi­tion rep­re­sents a rare oc­ca­sion when the fac­ulty have had the op­por­tu­nity to col­lec­tively share their works with the pub­lic within

the com­mu­nity in which they work.

The show will pull to­gether a di­ver­sity of works, styles and ap­proaches of th­ese pro­fes­sional artists by fo­cus­ing on the artis­tic prac­tice of mem­bers in the depart­ment of Fine Arts at Bishop’s Univer­sity in­clud­ing: Jim Ben­son, Tim Do­herty, Lisa Driver, Miche­line Durocher, Mona God­bout, Dar­ren Milling­ton and Regine Neu­mann. Works dis­played will in­clude a va­ri­ety of re­cent ex­am­ples of th­ese artists’ vis­ual re­search and will in­clude: draw­ings, paint­ings, prints, pho­tog­ra­phy and sculp­ture.

The pub­lic is in­vited to meet the artists dur­ing the open­ing Vernissage on Sun­day, June 2 be­tween 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. at Up­lands, 9 Speid Street in Sher­brooke

(Bor­ough of Len­noxville).
