Busy week for Coaticook police
After a short investigation, Coaticook police searched a residence on Child Street, on May 30th, after receiving anonymous information from the public. The two subjects targeted, a 42 yearold man and a 19 yearold woman, were both arrested and fifty cannabis plants were seized along with 70 grams of cannabis in bulk. The man was later released and will appear in court at a later date while the woman, who was on probation for four previous files, appeared in court later that day.
On May 24th, a cannabis greenhouse was dismantled in an apartment on Gendreau Street.
On May 29th, the Coaticook Surete du Quebec put an end to the activities of two suspects who were selling contraband tobacco to minors, searching an apartment on St. Jean Baptiste and another on Chartier Street.
