Oldtimers enjoy new rink
Last Wednesday morning, several members of the famous “Border Jets” hockey team got together with a few pals for a friendly skate at the Pat Burns Arena. Following their skate, they went up to the arena’s restaurant for lunch and, possibly, reminisced about their glory days in the Old Barn. During May and June, the arena held free skating every Wednesday morning.
These senior skaters, most of whom played hockey together over fifty years ago, took advantage of the free skate at the Pat Burns Arena last Wednesday. Seen in the photo are (left to right) Denis Parent, Roger Goodsell, Ronald Goodsell, Pierce Ellis, Stanley Holmes and Albert Parent.
