Six peo­ple were ar­rested by the Regie de po­lice Mem­phrem­a­gog (RPM) over the week­end for drink­ing and driv­ing: three men over forty years of age, one 20 year-old man and two women in their twen­ties. On Sun­day, the po­lice were called to as­sist am­bu­lance paramedics on chemin de la Mon­tagne in Ste. Cather­ine de Hat­ley. A man was un­con­scious fol­low­ing a drug over­dose. A woman there was ar­rested for sell­ing drugs, pos­ses­sion of co­caine, GHB, metham­phetamine, cannabis and med­i­ca­tions. Drug para­pher­na­lia was also seized. Fi­nally, about a dozen parked, un­locked cars were ran­sacked dur­ing the night be­tween June 15th and the 16th. Money, a DVD player, a GPS and an Ipod were stolen.

At around 5:30 pm on Mon­day, a cit­i­zen called the po­lice af­ter see­ing a man break­ing into a vend­ing ma­chine in the Ca­bana park­ing lot, in Ma­gog, then tak­ing off in a van. The sus­pect ve­hi­cle was caught on au­toroute 10 and the sus­pect, a 22 year-old man from Laval, was ar­rested for pos­ses­sion of bur­glary tools and break­ing pa­role con­di­tions. He was kept in de­ten­tion and ap­peared in court Tues­day morn­ing. The driver of the van was ar­rested for drug pos­ses­sion and later re­leased. In­ves­ti­ga­tors be­lieve other, sim­i­lar thefts have been com­mit­ted in the re­gion and an in­ves­ti­ga­tion has be­gun.
