New playground project aims high
After several years of hoping and dreaming for a new playground for Sunnyside Elementary, a committee which was formed last year has come up with a plan for a ‘new age’, natural playground that would make the most of the school’s spacious grounds.
The “Playground Project” would convert much of the schoolyard into landscaped play areas that mimic the natural environment using trees, bushes, rocks and sand, etc. but will also keep the small soccer field, baseball diamond and vegetable garden.
