Sunnyside celebrates end of school
Sunnyside’s last day began with the school’s awards ceremony, in the gym, with many parents in attendance. The Principal Steve Weary was trading candies for coupons during the Tombola which was held, last Friday, on Sunnyside Elementary’s last day. school’s new principal, Steve Weary, had special words for the graduating grade six class: “I’m very proud of the work you’ve done and we look forward to you coming back to visit us.” Teacher Heather Webster also spoke to the grade six class: “I hope you’ve learnt as much from me as I have from you.”

The fishing game of trying to ‘catch’ tin cans was one of the Tombola games that students could try, receiving candy coupons for their efforts.
