We Dig Read­ing!

Read­er­sof all ages will “Dig Into READ­ING” this sum­mer as the Haskell Free Li­brary presents its an­nual sum­mer read­ing pro­gram. This year’s theme ex­plores things un­der­ground. Ac­tiv­i­ties will in­clude pro­grams on fairies, gar­den­ing, cave art, di­nosaurs, an­i­mals that bur­row and other kinds of dig­gers. Each Wed­nes­day af­ter­noon in July at 2:00 p.m., chil­dren who have com­pleted Kinder­garten through grade six are in­vited for read­ing and craft ac­tiv­i­ties. Thurs­day morn­ings at 9:45 a.m. is a spe­cial story time just for preschool­ers and their care­givers. Fri­day af­ter­noons at 2:00 p.m. will be a spe­cial “Crafter­noon” with Sarah.

The 2013 Sum­mer Read­ing Pro­gram is open to young peo­ple, preschool through young adult, with pro­grams, prize draw­ings, story hour, a read­ing club and more. Fam­i­lies with pre-read­ers are in­vited to join the Read-toMe por­tion of the pro­gram. Regis­tra­tion for “Dig Into READ­ING!” be­gins im­me­di­ately.
