New walking or running club

Stanstead Journal - - NEWS - Magog

TheCSSS Memphremagog and CourirenEstrie have joined forces to create a free walking and running club for people of all abilities in Magog: Les Mollets de Magog. The club’s training sessions will be held on Wednesday evenings at 4:45pm, and will begin at the Magog Arena.

“The aim of the club is to get people together to move,” said Annick Thibeault, a kinesiologist at the CSSSM. “Often people get discouraged after a few training bouts because they find it boring to train alone. We hope that the group effect will be positive for those who want to join.”

“As a resident of Magog, I found it disappointing that there was no local club, especially now that the city has a marathon. My aim with this club, as with the race circuit, is to get people to move,” said Patrick Mahoney of CourirenEstrie . For more information check the Mollets de Magog Facebook site or call Annick Thibeault at 819 8433381, ext. 2790.
