Leapin’ Lizards! QNEK brings ev­ery­one’s fa­vorite red­head to the NEK in the Mu­si­cal

Award­Win­ning QNEK Pro­duc­tions, In­ter­na­tional Theatre Com­pany in Res­i­dence at the Haskell Opera House, presents the Tony Award­win­ning mu­si­cal AN­NIE by Thomas Mee­han, Charles Strauss, and Martin Charnin with its heart-warm­ing com­edy and beloved songs that in­clude “Hard-Knock Life,” “To­mor­row,” and “I Don’t Need Any­thing But You.” With a lovable cast of char­ac­ters made up of ac­tors hail­ing from both sides of the bor­der, An­nie sees the re­turn of Phil Gos­selin in his sec­ond sea­son as an As­so­ciate Di­rec­tor with QNEK. Jan­ice Gluck is the Mu­si­cal Di­rec­tor and Orches­tra Con­duc­tor with Ben Luce on key­boards, Bill Prue on bass, and Shawn McAl­lis­ter on per­cus­sion.

In al­ter­nat­ing per­for­mances, An­nie will be played by Olivia Lemieux (07/27, 08/02, 08/04) and El­iz­a­beth Gil­martin (7/26, 7/28, 8/03); long­time QNEK ac­tor Mark Rumery (seen last year in The Fan­ta­sticks) is Oliver War­bucks; Jennifer Dunne (guest ac­tor form New York, also seen in this sea­son’s Step­ping Out) is Grace Far­rell; and QNEK’s CEO and Artis­tic/ Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor, Lynn Leimer is the quin­tes­sen­tial wretch, Miss Han­ni­gan. Round­ing out this ex­cep­tional cast are QNEK fa­vorites Mike Des­jardins and Emily May as Rooster Han­ni­gan and Lily St. Regis, Steve Lau­rie as Pres­i­dent Franklin De­lano Roo­sevelt, and David Hunter as Drake. The rag­tag bunch of or­phans are played by Charli Kell­away, Josie Pear­son, Ca­resse ComeauEl­man, Molly Moore, Abby Mur­ray, Paulina Car­pen­ter, April Streeter, Grace Cas­tle, Ryanne Nadeau, Abby Gunn, and Fiona McCrae.
