Leapin’ Lizards! QNEK brings everyone’s favorite redhead to the NEK in the Musical
AwardWinning QNEK Productions, International Theatre Company in Residence at the Haskell Opera House, presents the Tony Awardwinning musical ANNIE by Thomas Meehan, Charles Strauss, and Martin Charnin with its heart-warming comedy and beloved songs that include “Hard-Knock Life,” “Tomorrow,” and “I Don’t Need Anything But You.” With a lovable cast of characters made up of actors hailing from both sides of the border, Annie sees the return of Phil Gosselin in his second season as an Associate Director with QNEK. Janice Gluck is the Musical Director and Orchestra Conductor with Ben Luce on keyboards, Bill Prue on bass, and Shawn McAllister on percussion.
In alternating performances, Annie will be played by Olivia Lemieux (07/27, 08/02, 08/04) and Elizabeth Gilmartin (7/26, 7/28, 8/03); longtime QNEK actor Mark Rumery (seen last year in The Fantasticks) is Oliver Warbucks; Jennifer Dunne (guest actor form New York, also seen in this season’s Stepping Out) is Grace Farrell; and QNEK’s CEO and Artistic/ Managing Director, Lynn Leimer is the quintessential wretch, Miss Hannigan. Rounding out this exceptional cast are QNEK favorites Mike Desjardins and Emily May as Rooster Hannigan and Lily St. Regis, Steve Laurie as President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and David Hunter as Drake. The ragtag bunch of orphans are played by Charli Kellaway, Josie Pearson, Caresse ComeauElman, Molly Moore, Abby Murray, Paulina Carpenter, April Streeter, Grace Castle, Ryanne Nadeau, Abby Gunn, and Fiona McCrae. The cast also features Douglas Flint, Brian McCrae, Fletcher McCrae, Lonn Stewart,
Calvin Longe, James Miller, Judy Castonguay, Sally Rivard, Lisa Foster McCrae, Molly DesormeauxPrangley, Andrea Webster, and Susan -Lynn Johns. The all-important role of Sandy will be played by newcomer, Mr. Biscuit (Lynda GrahamBarber’s pup). The 20th Anniversary Season marks
