Border discussion this Sunday

Stanstead Journal - - NEWS -

Everyone who is interested is cordially invited to a meeting next Sunday, August 11, at 10 am, in Derby Line at the Universalist Church Fellowship Hall next to the United States Customs Port of Entry across the street from the Irving Station on Main Street, Derby Line. George Weller, of Stanstead East, will host a discussion about what the Canada/USA border will look like 50 years from now. The border scenario extremes are a complete fence coast to coast vs. an open border with a Schengen like zone between Canada and the USA.

“I assume many people have opinions as the border becomes more and more time consuming to cross as security is more and more emphasized,” explained Mr. Weller. There will be a short service with some music for about 15 minutes leading to the discussion.
