Money needed for ag­ing pop­u­la­tion

In the bud­get an­nounced last April by health min­is­ter Dr. Re­jean He­bert, an amount of $1,914,334 was al­lo­cated to the CSSS Mem­phrem­a­gog to help re­spond to the needs of an ag­ing pop­u­la­tion. At the CSSSM, this money has pro­vided the fol­low­ing: more than 629 new users suf­fer­ing from a loss of au­ton­omy re­ceived 20,139 in­ter­ven­tions of home­care sup­port, thanks to the ad­di­tion of 21.8 po­si­tions; the ad­di­tion of a new so­cial worker four days a week; the ad­di­tion of a three day a week so­cial worker to pro­vide home pal­lia­tive care ser­vices.
