Johnny Bootlegger, recruiting young adults
Theproduction company of Johnny Bootlegger, the musical, is looking for recruits young people aged 18 to 35, to work on a fantastic project at the Haskell Opera House in Stanstead.
Anyone who is passionate about dance, singing and music is invited to join the team that will be led by Lorraine Beaudry, a well-known professional from the arts community.
The project will start in late September and will continue throughout the year, culminating in several performances in the summer of 2014 at the Haskell Opera House. This unique theatre, seating 400 people, is located directly on the border with the United States.
The instruction and production will be bilingual. Many workshops will be led by professionals who will guide participants and hone their skills in both the arts as well as in back stage production, lighting and sound.
Participants should qualify under the rules of the Centre local d’emploi de Memphremagog. The project aims to encourage participants to develop their artistic talents, experience the creation of an exciting production. It will also aim to develop a new and unique tourism attraction in Stanstead which will also showcase the Haskell Opera House.
Special thanks to the support and the collaboration of the Conférence régionale des élus del’Estrie, the Centre Local d’emploi de Memphrémagog, the Town of Stanstead and the Stanstead Recreation Association who will govern the program.
