TheNo.10 Bishop’s Gaiters de­feated the Con­cor­dia Stingers 40-18 and im­proved their record to 3-1. Bishop’s Quar­ter­back Jor­dan Heather led the way go­ing 17-25 for 354 yards and throw­ing a pair of touch­down passes. The RSEQ Univer­sity Football game played at Coul­ter Field on Satur­day af­ter­noon wrapped up 2013 Home­com­ing fes­tiv­i­ties at Bishop’s.

TheBishop’s Univer­sity Depart­ment of Ath­let­ics and Recre­ation is pleased to an­nounce that Stephen Adekolu, re­ceiver for the football team, has been named the Provigo Robert La­fond Ath­lete of the Week.

Adekolu, from Brampton, Ont., helped the No. 10 Gaiters (3-1) de­feat the Con­cor­dia Stingers (0-4) 40-18 this past week­end. The Gaiters jumped out to a 30-0 lead be­fore Con­cor­dia scored their first points in the third quar­ter. Adekolu had a ca­reer high seven catches for 157-yards, the long­est be­ing 64-yards.
