Lo­cal artist catches eye of Premier

Bolton East artist, Ja­cyn­the Comeau, who was a fi­nal­ist at the pro­vin­cial paint­ing con­test at Baie St. Paul, re­ceived the “Prix de la pre­mière min­istre”. Her work en­ti­tled “Remis­age” was the favourite of the premier, and she is seen here re­ceiv­ing her plaque from Mrs. Marois. Ear­lier in the year, the artist re­ceived the sil­ver medal from the Cana­dian Wa­ter­colour So­ci­ety and the “Da Vinci” award from the Cana­dian So­ci­ety of Painters in Wa­ter­colour of Toronto.

Stanstead and the Caisse Des­jardins du lac Mem­phrem­a­gog gave out the money for its Wel­come Pol­icy, last Wednes­day, at the Town Hall.
