Galt Helping To Find A Cure
On the September 26th, 2013 one thousand Alexander Galt High School students and staff showed their support in helping to find a cure for cancer by raising $7000 in their annual Terry Fox walk.
Since 2005 Galt has raised nearly $102,000 thanks in part to the Student Activities Co-ordiantor Bob Halsall and the Students Council. Dressed in the traditional red and white the entire school participated in a three--kilometer walk off campus that took them through Viewpoint and around the Experimental Farm in Lennoxville.
Upon their arrival the students and staff were treated with fresh rosy red apples and bottles of water provided by the school. Galt will continue to keep Terry Fox’s dream alive by helping find a cure to this terrible disease.
Red and white are the colours of commitment when it comes to the Galt Terry Fox Run, as these Galt students are happily demonstrating.
