College Servite students get moving
Fora second year in a row, the students of will take the challenge on October 24th, walking or running 15 kilometres or swimming another 14.2 kilometres. The aim of the activity is to promote physical activity and provide students with an opportunity to learn about perseverance.
The day will begin with a conference about perseverance by the popular Townships ‘slammer’, David Goudreault. That will be followed by the 15 kilometre jaunt, taken by some of the school’s personnel as well as the students, on roads around the school, while fifteen other students will swim across Lake Massawippi, from Ayer’s Cliff to North Hatley. The students will relay every 400 to 700 metres to complete the 14.2 kilometre crossing.
