The football teams at Alexander Galt High School had an outstanding weekend of football with a perfect 4-0 record.

The Bantam Football team remained undefeated after a 40-0 win over Jean Raimbault from the Beauce region.

Once again running back Jarod Stone led the Piper attack by scoring two early touchdowns, one on an 80 yard run on their opening drive and another 30-yard pass from quarterback Cody Gallichon. Fullback Brandon Vaillancourt bulled his way for two touchdowns of his own while Gallichon converted passing majors to receivers Sean Warren and Michael Villeneuve.

The senior team picked up their first win of the season on Sunday by dominating the BCS Bears 42-12. Quarterback Chad Buck led the offense with three rushing touchdowns, including a 55 yard run on the opening drive of the game. Wide receiver Cameron Burns caught two passing touchdowns; one of 27 yards and one of 53 yards while running back Mathieu SullivanWeare scored his first touchdown of the year on a nifty run. Kicker Shawn Paxton delivered five of six possible extra points. Twins Thomas and Jacob Rothney were named the codefensive players of the game with an interception and numerous tackles.

The girls flag football team moved into first place in their tough division with a pair of victories over Sacre Coeur and Le Triolet. The girls from Galt distributed the ball well in game one with touchdowns from Ashley Wright, Julie Bobbitt and Lindsay Moore. Kayla Bolduc, Wright and Moore also converted important conversions as the Pipers squeaked out a last minute victory 22-20. The girls from Galt continued their fine team play in the second half of their double header as Claudia Gagnon scored two majors while Sofia Marue and Julie Bobbitt rounded out the scoring to give the Lady Pipers a convincing 27-0 shutout win over Triolet. Soccer Roundup:

The Bantam girls soccer team remained undefeated in ETIAC play as the bounced the Spartans from Stanstead College 4-1. Jaya Gregoire continued her consistent play with two fine markers while strikers Leanne Marmonier and Carloine Fisette round out the Piper attack.

The Junior boys team continued to score in bunches as they downed Stanstead College 5-2. Diego de Alba Ramos demonstrated his outstanding soccer skills again with another hat trick in the first half. Forwards Bryer Smith and Matthew Hornibrook chipped in as they always do with a goal each to solidify a strong Piper victory.

The Senior boys jumped back in the win column with a 3-1 home win over the Richmond Raiders. The boys from Galt set the tone of the game early as they scored three goals in the first fifteen minutes of the game. Veteran striker Alex Mckinney led the way with two goals and 13-year-old sensation Michael Fontaine potted his first goal of the season.

The Junior girls traveled down route 143 last week and met their toughest competition of the season as they tied the girls from Stanstead 1-1. Brianna Grapes put Galt on the scoreboard in the first half, but the girls from Galt did not match the intensity of the Spartans in the second half and settled for the draw.

The Bantam boys put their play off hopes in jeopardy as they lost 1-0 to Richmond. The little guys from Galt had several scoring chances, but the Raiders goalie stymied their threats every time.
