Stanstead Town­ship vot­ers plan meet­ing

Not con­tent to once more ex­er­cise their right to vote in mu­nic­i­pal elec­tions with­out know­ing the can­di­dates in­volved, a spon­ta­neous group­ing of elec­tors from Fitch Bay, Ge­orgeville and Lake Lover­ing, all form­ing part of Stanstead Town­ship, have or­ga­nized a cit­i­zens in­for­ma­tion meet­ing to which each can­di­date run­ning for mayor and/or coun­cil has been per­son­ally in­vited to share their vi­sion of the mu­nic­i­pal scene with those cit­i­zens present in an at­mos­phere of re­spect and con­vivi­al­ity. Each can­di­date will be al­lowed time to in­tro­duce him­self/her­self and ex­press their opin­ion on var­i­ous topics. Cit­i­zens will then be in­vited to pose ques­tions of a gen­eral na­ture to the may­oralty can­di­dates who will re­spond in or­der in the lan­guage in which the ques­tions were asked. Mr. Dany Gagne of the Cen­tre de Sante et des ser­vices so­ci­aux de Mem­phrem­a­gog will act as a neu­tral moder­a­tor. Mr. Paul Amos will as­sist him in this task. The meet­ing will take place Satur­day, Oc­to­ber 26th, 2013 at 9:30AM at Mur­ray Me­mo­rial Cen­tre, 4680 ch. Ge­orgeville.
