Fund an­nounces new grant ap­pli­ca­tion dead­lines for 2014

In 2014, the Neil and Louise Til­lot­son Fund of the New Hamp­shire Char­i­ta­ble Foun­da­tion will ac­cept grant ap­pli­ca­tions on Mon­day, Jan­uary 6 and Mon­day, July 7.

The Neil and Louise Til­lot­son Fund was es­tab­lished in 2006 with the phi­los­o­phy of Neil Til­lot­son in mind: Be hum­ble, be cre­ative and be kind. The fund is guided by an 11-mem­ber ad­vi­sory com­mit­tee and the fol­low­ing goals: Strengthen ex­ist­ing in­sti­tu­tions; ad­dress gaps in ser­vices to meet com­mu­nity needs; sup­port new and emerg­ing lead­ers; shape pub­lic pol­icy; pre­serve nat­u­ral, cul­tural and so­cial as­sets; and lever­age pub­lic and pri­vate fund­ing.

The Neil and Louise Til­lot­son Fund ac­cepts pro­pos­als from el­i­gi­ble or­ga­ni­za­tions pro­vid­ing ser­vices in Cole­brook, Pitts­burg, Clarksville, Ste­wart­stown, Dixville and other towns in Coos County as well as bor­der­ing com­mu­ni­ties in Que­bec, Canada and the U.S. The fund is also in­ter­ested in ap­pli­cants that serve th­ese com­mu­ni­ties as part of a larger re­gional ef­fort. About the New Hamp­shire Char­i­ta­ble Foun­da­tion The New Hamp­shire Char­i­ta­ble Foun­da­tion man­ages a grow­ing col­lec­tion of char­i­ta­ble funds cre­ated by in­di­vid­u­als, fam­i­lies and cor­po­ra­tions. It serves com­muni-

ties through­out New Hamp­shire, south­east­ern Maine and east­ern Vermont and makes grants and stu­dent aid awards an­nu­ally to­tal­ing $30 mil­lion.
